Indigo update May 19

Posted 5/19/2018 6:57am by Sam Bellamy.

Sarah is at the Myrtle's market with lots of strawberries, fresh vegetables from the farm. The yellow squash is very pretty as are the broccoli and diakon radishes. Lots of leafy greens, lettuces and more. At the farm market we have lots of strawberries pre-picked. Now is a good time for large purchases and jam berries.

Dispite the rain and wet conditions we have a lot going on. Weeding beans and planting beans, setting out more tomato plants and more cucumbers. Sowing more watermelon seeds, etc.

Winter has arrived!

We've harvesting cool season crops like greens, turnips and soon lettuce. The rainy days have produced plenty of Shittake mushrooms. The strawberry plants are growing, making us dream of Spring.
