JUly 12 update

Posted 7/12/2015 7:16pm by Sam Bellamy.

PYO blueberries will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday mornings 7:30 to 10:30 am. Please do bring a container to take your berries home in. It remains very hot so we are not encouraging people to pick later than 10:30 for now. The berries look good. We are irrigating. The garden blue variety is abundant right now. They are the small dark sweet berries that have lots of flavor. The fields will likely be open later in the week also.

We encourage you to enjoy the corn. We are still getting some of the best corn I've had in years. This Abbot Cobb variety is non GMO, a super sweet that was bred with primary attention given to seed strength. So much of good fruit rests on a good plant. I am impressed with what they have done.

It is peak peach season. We should have peaches by the basket as well as peach pound cake and other favorites in the bakery. If you haven't tried the tomato pie ask someone about it who has. You don't want to miss out on good thing especially when it is in season.
