Summer doesn’t get mush sweeter than watermelons, cantaloupe, plums and the best South Carolina peaches! We also have blackberries.
We’re harvesting peppers, eggplant and some pickling cucumbers. The okra is just starting to be ready for harvesting. The sunflowers and zinnias add summer color to our markets and wherever you choose to put them!
Thinking about butter beans and peas? We sell both either in the hull or shelled. The availability varies week to week on these through the Summer.
Our specialty crops vary with the seasons and the weather. We often have Shiitake Mushrooms. During the Summer we have Elderberries and Figs. We race to get the Chestnuts before the rabbits and squirrels in the Fall.
This is our first summer growing hydroponically. We are trying to increase the availability of our lettuces as we learn what works best for our summer weather.
In the greenhouse we’re busy sowing seeds for our Fall harvest! Pictured are Pumpkin Sprouts. We’re also planting winter squashes, more summer squash and cucumbers and more melons.
